Earthing, or grounding, refers to connecting your body directly with the Earth.
Earth is an electrical planet, charged with a subtle surface energy commonly known in the electrical world as "ground.” When in contact with the Earth, this tranquil energy naturally transfers to any conductive object—whether it is a metal rod, a wire, a tree or plant, an animal, or a barefoot human—and they become “grounded.”
The known effect of grounding is that it discharges and prevents the buildup of electrical stress. Walking barefoot on the Earth, as humans have done throughout history, naturally grounds and discharges the body. The most reported benefit from people who place their bare feet directly on the Earth and ground themselves is that they “feel better.”
The products offered on this website allow you to conveniently ground yourself when indoors. They are "barefoot substitutes."
The Barefoot Recovery Bag was initially designed for Tour de France cyclists and has become popular with many athletes and travelers. The bag is 228cm (90 inches) long and 203cm (80 inches) wide when fully open and can accommodate two people sleeping on top of it. The bag can also be zipped up and used as a sleeping bag for one person, you just slip between the top and bottom sheet just as you would a sleeping bag. When zipped, the bag is 100cm (40 inches) wide. The fabric is 240 thread count 50/50 poly cotton with conductive silver fibers. The bag connects to the Earth with a ground cord, similar to the Earthing Connection sheets.
Earthing Connection Recovery Bag 230 x 200cm (90" x 80)
Placing your bare feet or any part of your body on the recovery bag grounds
your body to the Earth during sleep. The bag connects to the Earth via a
standard power point. You may want to check
that your power point is wired correctly and provides a connection to
ground by using the Earth Leakage Tester.
