These delicious mangoes are grown about 100 kilometers south of Lima, Peru on a group of permaculture farms established by José Vico and his family in conjunction with local farmers.
José's background in engineering together with his mastery of innovative organic agriculture techniques means that these Raw Low Temperature Dehydrated Mangoes are unlike any others in the world. They are raw-dried at below 40ºC, while most other dehydrated mangoes on the market are typically dried at 50-60ºC. This gives these mangoes a vibrant golden colour and soft fruity texture. In most other dried mangoes, the sugars have caramelised due to higher temperature drying techniques, giving them a tougher, drier texture.
